Newest MATBA member Nischal Banskota of Nepal Teas has a Kickstarter campaign for supporting Nepal teas and the farmers. Members helping members, supporting each other, and the tea industry around the world consider a contribution to this campaign where your donation may help improve the lives of farmers and send their kids to school. and receive some organic Nepal tea in return.

Have you been following the development of member Kathleen Edinger of Tea Scapes? They are opening a Tea Bar in Atlantic Highlands, NJ.

New Jersey member Kathleen Hippeli shared that her tea room One Steep at a Time in Jamesburg, NJ was recently included in New Jersey Meetings and Events as one of the top 5 tea houses “to relax, reconnect or rejuvenate with your team, group or staff members”.

NJ Member Drew Hanson of Boukakuan Tea House was featured in an article about the Japanese Tea Ceremony as an unconventional alternative therapy for stress relief in NJ Monthly. Check it out!

Mike and Debbie Raab will be offering the Specialty Tea Institute Foundations of Tea Level 1 and Level 2 at Sweet Remembrances in Mechanicsburg, PA on Monday June 26th and Tuesday June 27th. Consider this course as a great way to expand and enhance your tea knowledge. Registration is directly via STI, but direct any questions to Debbie Raab.

MATBA is a Sponsor of the Pennsylvania Tea Festival to be held Friday, September 29 and Friday, September 30 in the gardens of The Rosemary House. There will be a small booth available for MATBA to include informational brochures regarding your business. We are also looking for volunteers to work the booth and with the festival. There will also be an opportunity to include a tuck-in for the goodie bags (approx. 500) to be distributed to the attendees. More details as the event gets closer, but please consider providing a small sample for the bag, or information for the booth. Please refer your questions to Susanna.
