Disaster Preparedness for Businesses presented by Linda Jones
Our featured speaker is Linda Jones, the owner of Tea on The Tiber. Many of you will remember when Linda attended a meeting at Tea By Two, a few years back when she filled us in on the rebuilding and restoration of Tea on the Tiber after a devastating flood shuttered her business for months. Last year her business suffered yet another "100 year flood" when The Tiber flooded again. This time she lost even more, and she had over 30 patrons in the tea room when the raging waters forced them to the upper floors of the tea room to await rescue.
Linda will share what she has learned about preparedness for business disaster. She will not only share with us her losses and her plans to relocate, but the importance of record keeping, insurance pitfalls and how to keep your focus while navigating a recovery.
